Rachel Samren

A corporate diplomacy and responsible business expert, Rachel has held executive leadership positions in external affairs, governance and risk management across the telecommunications, strategic intelligence and financial services sectors in publicly traded, private, NGO and government JV entities.
She has first-hand experience of complex stakeholder engagement, regulatory affairs, sustainability/ESG and reputation management, as well as security and crisis handling, on behalf of corporate and non-profit entities globally - and in particular in emerging markets.
More than a decade of executive leadership experience in the telecom sector has provided Rachel with in-depth insights into the positive enablement effect, as well as risks, of technology, making her a passionate advocate on the responsible use of technology.
Rachel currently serves as a non-Executive Director of the Board of Directors of Digicel Group and as Chairman of the Board’s Compliance Committee; as Senior Advisor to geopolitical advisory firm Rasmussen Global; as a member of the International Board of Plan International Inc; and as Member of the Board of Advisors of the University of Miami Herbert Business School’s Latin America and Caribbean Initiative
Rachel holds a BSc in International Relations from the London School of Economics and Political Science and an MLitt in International Security Studies from the University of St Andrews.
